Binder Cutie

Privacy Policy

Effective

The short version

Binder Cutie has no ads, no accounts and no way to know who you are. Your collection stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, where we can't see it. We count a few anonymous things, like which screens get used, so we know what to make better, and you can turn that off.

This policy covers the Binder Cutie app and the Binder Cutie website.

Your collection

Your cards, binders, wishlist and settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they also sync through your own private iCloud storage, using Apple's CloudKit, so they show up on your other devices.

That iCloud storage belongs to your Apple account. We can't open it, read it, or see that it exists. Apple's own privacy policy covers how iCloud works.

We don't run a server, and we never receive a copy of your collection.

Anonymous usage stats in the app

To learn which features people actually use, the app sends small anonymous signals to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in Germany.

We countWe never send
Which screens get opened (Browse, Collection, Wishlist, Binders)Your name, email or Apple ID
Which features get used (adding a card, making a binder, turning shimmer off)Which cards you own or want
App version, iOS version, device type and languageWhat your collection is worth
A random ID, scrambled on your device and again by TelemetryDeck, so nobody can trace it back to youAnything you type, your contacts, photos or location

We use this only as totals, like "how many people made a binder this week". It isn't used for ads, it isn't sold, and it isn't combined with data from other apps.

Turning it off: Binder Cutie's Settings (gear icon) → Share anonymous usage stats. When it's off, the app sends nothing to TelemetryDeck.

If you agree to share crash reports with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports. That's controlled by Apple, under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

The website

The Binder Cutie website also uses TelemetryDeck to count visits: which pages get viewed, the referring site, and general browser and device type. It doesn't use cookies or show ads, and it doesn't follow you to other sites.

If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.

Card data

Card names, images and prices come from TCGdex, a free, community-run card database. When you browse, your device asks TCGdex for cards directly. Like any website, TCGdex's servers see your device's internet address when it asks. Nothing about you or your collection is sent with those requests.

What we never do

Age

Binder Cutie is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your choices

The usage stats are anonymous, so we can't link them to you, and that means we can't pick out "your" stats to show or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have other privacy rights. Email us and we'll help.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the app collects, we'll say so in the app's release notes too.
